Apple Picking

Mercier Orchards - Blue Ridge - Due to a late freeze and staff shortages, U-pick for apples is not available at Mercier this year. However, visitors can walk through and admire the orchard, purchase goodies from the market shop, and even order a boxed picnic to enjoy by the pond. This a fanfare-free way to have a relaxing look at the North Georgia apple industry.

B.J. Reece Orchard - Ellijay - In addition to picking apples from the expansive orchard, guests can select varying levels of admission to include a giant farm slide, cow milking, petting farm, wagon ride, pony ride, apple cannon, giant jumping pillow, and so much more! More information on pricing here.

Hillcrest Orchards - Ellijay - Fun for the whole family! After picking apples, visitors can stop off at the bakery for a fried apple pie or fresh cider. Attractions include giant slides, kiddie corn maze playground, trike rides, jumping pillow and the new ball zone!

Pumpkin Patches

Mount Zion UMC - East Cobb - If a basic pick-out-a-pumpkin activity is what you’re after, stay close and pop over to this church-run pumpkin patch. Proceeds support the youth ministry.

Sleepy Hollow Farms - Powder Springs - This outing is the ultimate autumn adventure! Spend a whole morning taking a hayride, petting the animals, and frolicking through the corn maze. The Farm playground has kids games, and visitors can choose a pumpkin from the patch or from the market.

Burt’s Farm - Dawsonville - After a day of hiking or visiting wineries, Burt’s Farm is a fun and short stop! Hundreds of pumpkins and photo opportunities everywhere you turn! Guests can also choose to take a hayride around the property.

Other Activities

Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival - Stone Mountain - If you’re up for a bit of a splurge, there’s no better place to visit in fall than Stone Mountain. Creative pumpkin displays, pie-eating contests, miniature golf, and a full size train ride… all in one place! Stay after dark to experience a wonderland of glow activities and scenes!
